Common Sense
2020
Commissioned by Merton Heritage Service
A commission from Merton Heritage Service to create sensory artworks for the Common Sense project, which aimed to increase heritage engagement among adults with special needs, including visual impairment, hearing loss and autism. Our 3D pieces explored Merton’s textile heritage by adding sensory elements to forms representing well-known William Morris designs such as Strawberry Thief, which was first produced at his Merton Abbey Works in 1883.
