Merton CIL Craftivsim & Chat workshops

Merton CIL invited us to run two of their Craftivism and Chat workshops, one in 2020 and another in 2022. The purpose was to work with the group to design two banners: one which could be used to highlight the difficulties that disabled people face accessing transport in Merton; and one which could be used by the group at outreach and community events. The banners were also an expression of Merton’s textile heritage, with letters cut from Morris and Liberty fabrics.

Merton CIL (Centre for Independent Living) is a charity run and controlled by deaf and disabled people, for deaf and disabled people.
